Is Starter Support the right choice for you?

This plan is built for websites that need basic, reliable maintenance — not heavy management. Read both sides before deciding.

This is right for you if…

  • You have a WordPress or similar CMS website that needs regular updates
  • You want someone to handle plugin and theme updates before they cause problems
  • You make occasional small content changes (text, images, prices) and need someone to do them
  • You want basic peace of mind that your site is not running outdated software
  • You have a working website and just need it maintained

This is probably NOT the right fit if…

  • You need frequent content updates or larger monthly changes (Business Support)
  • You need priority response times or proactive monitoring (Business or Premium Support)
  • You are building a new website — this is maintenance, not development
  • You want strategic recommendations and monthly performance reviews

Not sure? Send your situation and we will recommend the right option.

Everything in the Starter Support plan

Monthly maintenance tasks that keep your site running correctly, securely, and up to date — handled without you needing to log into the backend.

Monthly CMS Updates

WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates are applied each month to prevent compatibility issues and close security vulnerabilities. Running outdated software is one of the most common causes of hacked websites — this stops that from happening.

Security Scanning

A monthly scan checks for known vulnerabilities, malware signatures, and suspicious files in your site's codebase. Any issues are flagged and resolved before they escalate into visible problems for your visitors or your business reputation.

Minor Content Changes (1–2 hrs)

Text edits, image swaps, price updates, adding a service or contact detail — small changes handled for you rather than leaving you to figure out the backend. Changes requested by email are applied within the monthly allocation.

Uptime Monitoring

A basic check that your site is online and loading. If your site goes down, we are notified and respond. This is not 24/7 real-time monitoring, but it ensures downtime does not go unnoticed for days.

Backup Verification

Each month we confirm that your hosting backups are running correctly and that recent restore points exist. If backups are not working, we flag it immediately — because discovering a failed backup after something goes wrong is too late.

Basic Performance Check

A monthly page speed review catches anything that has noticeably slowed the site — a large uncompressed image, a slow plugin, or a configuration issue. Minor issues identified here are addressed within the monthly change allocation.

Monthly Maintenance Report

A simple summary of what was done, what was updated, and the current state of your site delivered at the end of each month. You always know what happened — you are not guessing whether maintenance actually occurred.

Email Support

Questions about your site answered by email. Not an emergency response line, but reliable support for non-urgent matters — a question about your CMS, a concern about something you noticed, or guidance on a small decision about your site.

Plugin Compatibility Check

When a major update is available for a plugin or your WordPress version, compatibility is verified before applying it to your live site. Updates that would break something are held and tested first — so you do not discover a broken site after a routine update.

How your monthly maintenance cycle works

A clear, repeatable process each month — so maintenance happens consistently, not just when something breaks.

1
Onboarding
Week 1
We review your website, document all plugins and themes, set up access credentials, and establish a baseline state before the first maintenance cycle begins. Any existing issues are noted upfront.
2
Monthly Updates
Each Month
CMS core, plugins, and themes are reviewed and updated. Compatibility is checked before applying updates to the live site — so updates go through a test pass before anything changes on your public-facing website.
3
Security + Backup Check
Each Month
Security scan completed, backup status verified, and any flags addressed before the month closes. If there is a concern, we tell you — we do not let it sit until the following cycle.
4
Content Changes
As Requested
Minor changes submitted via email are handled within the available 1–2 hour monthly allocation. Requests are best submitted at the start of the month so everything is applied together cleanly.
5
Report Delivery
End of Month
A simple maintenance summary is sent — what changed, what was updated, anything to note for the next cycle. Shared by the last business day of each month so you always have a current record.

What Starter Support delivers every month

Practical, consistent results from a monthly maintenance plan designed to keep your site working — without requiring your time or attention.

Website running on current, updated software every month

Your CMS, plugins, and themes are updated each month without you having to think about it. Your site is never quietly running a version that is months out of date and full of known vulnerabilities.

Security vulnerabilities caught before they become problems

Monthly scanning means issues are identified early — before a vulnerability is exploited, before malware spreads, and before you receive a panicked message from a client who found something wrong on your site.

Small content changes handled without you touching the backend

You send an email with what you need changed — a price, a team member, a service description — and it gets done. No logging into the CMS, no wondering if you have saved it correctly, no accidentally breaking the layout.

A monthly record of what maintenance was done and when

Every month you receive a simple report. If your hosting provider ever asks when something was last updated, or if you need to demonstrate that your site is maintained — the answer is documented and available.

Confidence that your site is not quietly falling behind

Many website problems — slow load times, security breaches, plugin conflicts — happen gradually, not suddenly. Monthly maintenance catches the drift before it becomes a crisis.

A support contact who knows your website — not a ticket queue

When you have a question or something does not look right, you are not starting over with a stranger who has never seen your site. We know your site, what is on it, and how it is configured.

What we need to get started

Four things we need to begin your maintenance plan and keep it running smoothly each month.

CMS Access

Admin login for your WordPress (or equivalent) dashboard so we can apply updates, run scans, and make approved content changes each month.

Hosting Access

Control panel access for backup verification and server-level checks. We need to confirm backups are running and catch anything that only shows at the hosting level.

Monthly Change Requests

Changes submitted at the start of each month so they fit cleanly within the 1–2 hour allocation. A simple email with what you need — no special format required.

Site Overview

A brief description of what the site does, what areas not to change without asking, and any known issues. Covered in a short onboarding conversation before the first maintenance cycle.

Starter vs Business vs Premium Support

Questions about Starter Support

What CMS platforms does this cover — only WordPress?
The plan is primarily built around WordPress, which powers the majority of websites we manage. Other CMS platforms — such as Joomla or Craft — can be covered if the maintenance requirements are similar. If your site is on a less common platform, mention it during onboarding and we will confirm whether the same maintenance structure applies.
What counts as a "minor content change" within the 1–2 hour limit?
Minor changes include updating text on existing pages, swapping an image, editing pricing, adding or removing a team member, or updating a phone number or address. What is not included: building new page layouts, adding new functionality, or changes that require significant design work. If a request is likely to exceed the monthly allocation, we tell you upfront before doing anything.
What happens if an update breaks something on my site?
We test updates for compatibility before applying them to your live site. If a conflict is identified, we hold the update rather than pushing it. In the rare event that something does break after an update, we restore the site from the most recent backup and investigate. You will not be left with a broken site while we figure out what happened.
Is there an emergency response if my site goes down?
Starter Support includes uptime monitoring and standard email support — meaning downtime will be noticed and responded to, but this plan does not include a guaranteed rapid emergency response window. If your website being offline for a few hours during a business day is a critical problem for your revenue, Business Support or Premium Support — both of which include priority response — would be a better fit.
Can I request more than 1–2 hours of changes in a given month?
If you regularly need more than the 1–2 hour monthly allocation, Business Support (4 hrs/month) or Premium Support (unlimited small changes) are better matches. For an occasional one-off month where you need extra work done, we can quote additional hours at a separate rate — just let us know in advance so it does not disrupt the monthly cycle.
Do I need to have my website hosted with you to get support?
No. Starter Support works with any hosting provider. We will need hosting access credentials (control panel login) for backup verification, but your site does not need to be on our hosting plans to be maintained under this support plan. That said, clients who use both our hosting and support services benefit from a more integrated setup and faster access during troubleshooting.
