A fitness brand that looks as serious
as the work it demands from its clients
In the fitness industry, brand credibility is trust. Potential clients decide whether to invest in a trainer or program based on how professional and serious the brand looks — before they've read a word of the offer.
What the client came with
A personal trainer and fitness coach was building their brand from the ground up. They had the skills, the clients, and a growing social media following — but the visual identity didn't reflect any of that. Posts looked inconsistent, the logo was a text treatment made in minutes, and the overall impression was amateur rather than professional.
The brief: create a brand that communicates energy, discipline, and commercial credibility — one that works on a polo shirt, a social media post, a website header, and a PDF program. All at once.
"My coaching is solid. My results speak for themselves. But online, I look like someone who just started. I need a brand that matches the level I'm actually operating at."
What we received — and what we built
The client had a name, a niche, and a clear sense of the energy they wanted to project. We translated that into a complete visual system — one that could be applied consistently without a designer on call for every post.
- Brand name and tagline
- Niche and target audience description
- 3 reference brands they admired
- Sample content and posts they wanted to run
- Existing photography for use in templates
- Primary logo and icon variant
- Logo in light, dark, and monochrome versions
- Complete colour system with usage rules
- Typography pairing for digital and print
- 8 social media post templates (editable)
- Brand guide PDF with all application guidelines
Building a brand that shows up the same way everywhere
Fitness brands need to project two things at once: intensity and approachability. Too aggressive and potential clients feel excluded. Too soft and the brand lacks the authority that makes people believe in the results. We balanced both through every design decision.
Developed 3 distinct visual directions — aggressive/bold, clean/premium, and energetic/approachable. Each with a colour mood and type treatment. Client chose the direction that matched their positioning.
Designed the logomark — built to work at small sizes (social media profile picture, app icon) and large ones (gym wall, banner). Two rounds of revisions to get every detail right before finalising.
Built 8 editable social media templates covering quote posts, transformation results, workout tips, and service promotion. Each template follows the brand system — consistent without being rigid.
Packaged everything into a brand guide with usage rules, colour codes, font links, and file format guide. The client walked away able to apply the brand consistently without needing to ask for help.
The brand across formats
Before vs. after — from inconsistent to unmistakable
The coaching quality was always there. What the brand change did was make that quality visible before the client had ever spoken to the trainer — which changes who enquires, and what they're willing to invest.
- Text-based logo that looked temporary and generic
- No consistent colour system — posts used whatever looked OK
- Social media posts had different styles every week
- No templates — every post took too long to design
- Brand felt like a side hustle, not a professional business
- Logo files didn't exist in any usable format
- Professional logo that works at any size and on any background
- Complete colour system — applied the same way everywhere
- 8 editable social templates — consistent look in minutes
- Brand guide ensures consistency across all team members and channels
- Brand visually signals professionalism before the first conversation
- All files in vector, PNG, and every format needed
A brand the client can use — and be proud of — immediately
The client went from inconsistent posts and a makeshift logo to a complete, professional brand system in under 2 weeks. They now post with confidence, the brand looks the same across every channel, and new enquiries come in commenting on how professional the presentation is.
Project at a glance
- Professional logo system that scales from social media avatar to gym signage without quality loss
